Review of Linux Compatibility

Printing and scanning with the Canon Pixma MG5350 All-in-One printer is fully supported by Linux with drivers provided by Canon. The All-in-One printer can be connected to the PC via USB or via WiFi. The USB ID of the device is 04a9:1754

Bus 001 Device 006: ID 04a9:1754 Canon, Inc.

After downloading the drivers they can be unpacked and the enclosed installation script has to be executed:

The program ScanGear is a software developed by Canon. The drivers used for this scan software are not compatible to Sane. Although the scanner is recognized by Sane via the sane backend (see http://www.sane-project.org/man/sane-pixma.5.html) support for the 5300 series is not yet fully tested.
