Review of Linux Compatibility

The SWEEX 7.1 is an external sound card, which is connected via USB. The sound card provides an analog in- and output and also has an optical S/PDIF link.

The USB sound card bases on the chipset cm6206 and has the USB ID 0d8c:0102:

Bus 004 Device 003: ID 0d8c:0102 C-Media Electronics, Inc. CM106 Like Sound Device

The card is recognize since Ubuntu Linux 11.10 out of the box. It is suggested to use the programm paprefs to configure the card and to setup its parameters:

sudo apt-get install paprefs
