The Microsoft LifeCam HD 6000 is a USB 2.0 webcam with a video resolution of 1280×720 pixel and autofocus. The camera has the USB ID 045e:076f:

and is fully supported under Linux (e.g. since Ubuntu 11.10) by the UVC driver, i.e., the kernel module uvcvideo.

The webcam is automatically recognized and initialized by the Linux kernel
