Review of Linux Compatibility

The Transcend TS256GMTS800 is a 256 GB Solid State Disk (SSD) on a chip. It is (W x L x H) 22mm x 80mm x 3.5 mm small (form factor 2280 – D2-B-M) and is connected to the M.2 slot, which is often available on the mainboard of Laptop or Mini-PC.

Tested on an Intel NUC5i5RYH it reached a write speed of approximately 290 MB/s:

1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB, 1.0 GiB) copied, 3.83972 s, 293 MB/s

while reading (with caching disabled) reached approximately 470 MB/sec:

 Timing O_DIRECT disk reads: 1414 MB in  3.00 seconds = 471.21 MB/sec
