Webcam

The included webcam has the USB ID 5986:026a

Bus 001 Device 007: ID 5986:026a Acer, Inc

Although this webcam was recognized by the kernel the necessary uvcvideo driver seems to be incompatible to this device and hence was not loaded:

usb 1-8: new high-speed USB device number 7 using xhci_hcd
usb 1-8: New USB device found, idVendor=5986, idProduct=026a
usb 1-8: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0
usb 1-8: Product: Integrated Camera
usb 1-8: Manufacturer: SunplusIT INC.

However, this webcam is listed as an Ubuntu certified device and normally should work. Please leave your experience with this device in the comment sections since the log outputs available to us are inconclusive.

SmartCard Reader

The included SmartCard Reader has the USB ID 058f:9540

Bus 003 Device 003: ID 058f:9540 Alcor Micro Corp. AU9540 Smartcard Reader

and is automatically recognized by the Linux kernel
