Review of Linux Compatibility

The ATX Mainboard Asus H97-Pro Gamer:

[ 0.000000] DMI: ASUS All Series/H97-PRO GAMER, BIOS 2105 07/14/2014

was successfully tested under Linux Mint 17 with Linux kernel version 3.13. DVI-D, VGA, audio work out of the box. HDMI, ethernet, PS/2, S/PDIF, trusted platform module (TPM), M.2 socket, temperature sensor probably work according to kernel logs, but have not been tested explicitly.

Ethernet

The onboard Gigabit Ethernet bases on the Intel I218-V chipset:

00:19.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection (2) I218-V [8086:15a1]
Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Device [1043:85c4]
	Kernel driver in use: e1000e

which is fully supported by the e1000e kernel driver, which loads automatically:

e1000e: Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Driver - 2.3.2-k
e1000e: Copyright(c) 1999 - 2013 Intel Corporation.
