Review of Linux Compatibility

The Canon PIXMA MG7120 is a color all-in-one printer. The printer was automatically detected and added by Ubuntu 14.04 LTS if attached with a USB cable (which is not included).

Bus 001 Device 010: ID 04a9:1772 Canon, Inc.

No configuration was necessary to get the printer working. The test page printed the first time but the colors seemed a little dark.

If the drivers are not already included by the used Linux distribution Debian based driver packages can be downloaded from the Canon homepage. The downloaded files come with an installation script (“install.sh”) that installs the drivers for the MG7120.
