The joystick is automatically supported und Linux (e.g. under Ubuntu 12.04) without the need to install additional software. All achse, buttons and hatswitches are recognized. However, if one wants to additionally configure the joystick, the program qjoypad can be used. It creates mouse and button events out of the joystick events, i.e. it allows to use the joystick with games and programs that normally would have not joystick support.
Under Ubuntu the program can be installed by:
sudo apt-get install qjoypad
A detailed descirption of qjoypad an be found at http://qjoypad.sourceforge.net/doc/doc_index.html.
