Review of Linux Compatibility

The external DVB-T tuner Kworld V-Stream Xpert DTV DVB-T is connected via USB 1.1. The Kworld V-Stream Xpert DTV DVB-T USB1.1 bases on the DiB3000 chipset of DiBcom and has the USB ID eb1a:17de. It is automatically supported under Linux since kernel version 2.6.13. After loading the driver the USB ID switches to eb1a:17df.

A firmware file dvb-usb-dibusb-5.0.0.11.fw is needed to use the Kworld V-Stream under Linux. The firmware can be found at http://www.linuxtv.org/downloads/firmware/dvb-usb-dibusb-5.0.0.11.fw for download, or can be installed, e.g., under Ubuntu via the linux-firmware-nonfree package.
