Review of Linux Compatibility

The Logitech G510 is a gaming keyboard, which has the USB-ID 046d:c22d:

Bus 004 Device 003: ID 046d:c22d Logitech, Inc. G510 Gaming Keyboard

The keyboard provides special features, like an LCD, which can provide in-game statistics of show other information. Furthermore, it has custom-color backlighting. These features are not supported by the Linux kernel by default. However, the software project “Gnome15″ provides several drivers and tools for the G510 keyboard. It consists of a panel indicator (or applet), a configuration tool, a macro system and a plugin framework.

The tools are available for several distributions and desktop environments (e.g. Gnome and Unity) at http://www.russo79.com/gnome15?option=com_content&view=article&id=9&Itemid=33.

Some additional tips for the configuration of Gnome15 under Ubuntu is available at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LogitechG15.
