Review of Linux Compatibility

The Sitecom LN-309 can be used in a Linux-network as printserver. The printer is connected via USB to the LN-309 and can afterwards be accessed under Linux as network printer.

Additionally, the LN-309 provides access to connected USB storage devices (Memory Stick, USB HDD) via its integrated storage- and FTP-server.

Under Windows it is possible to access a USB device as if it is connected directly to the USB-Port of the PC. However, this so-called NetUSB is not supported under Linux because it needs proprietary drivers.
