Review of Linux Compatibility

The Jabra Speak 510 MS is a combined speaker and microphone, which can be used for audio conferences, or as together with a webcam for video conferences. The speakerphone is connected to the PC via USB and has the USB ID 0b0e:0420. It also has Bluetooth support and an battery support to be used stand-alone with a Bluetooth phone.

Bus 001 Device 010: ID 0b0e:0420 GN Netcom

The Jabra Speak 510 MS is automatically recognized and supported by the Linux kernel. Sound and microphone can be used out-of-the box.

However, the kernel support for the speakerphone buttons used for volume control was removed from the Linux kernel due to incompatibilities. Anyway, the volume can still be controlled via the sound settings of the Linux system.
