The Microsoft Lifecam NX-6000 is a 2 Mega-Pixel webcam with built in microphone and has the USB-ID 045e:00f8

The webcam is recognized by the kernel with the following output:

Note: this camera works with the latest kernels only using the tweak described for the NX-3000.

Create the file /etc/modprobe.d/uvcvideo.conf with the single line:

options uvcvideo quirks=0x100
