Review of Linux Compatibility

The Sharkoon USB Lanport 400 is a USB device server, which allows to control connected USB devices over Ethernet. For this, so called virtual USB ports have to be created on the PC which are forwarded to the Device server over Ethernet. The Lanport 400 is equipped with one Gigabit Ethernet connection and two USB ports.

However, there is no Linux software available for the Sharkoon USB Lanport 400, which would create the virtual USB devices. Therefore, this device server can not be used under Linux.
