Review of Linux Compatibility

The Linutop 4 is a so called Nettop PC, which is already shpped with Linux. As distribution “Linutop OS 4.0″ is used, which is an adapted version of Xubuntu and therefore bases on Ubuntu.

The PC is equipped with an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz (x86) and has 1GB Ram, but can be upgraded up to 2GB. The harddisk is located on a 2 GB flash memory, from which 600MB are already used by the operating system. The Linutop 3 uses less than 14W and is calm due to its passive cooling.

Further technical details are: Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45), Audio in- and output, VGA and DVI output with a maximal resolution of 1920×1440 pixels.
