Review of Linux Compatibility

The Brother HL-5350DN is a laser printer with Ethernet connection. The printer can print up to 30 pages per minute and is fully supported under Linux thanks to the Linux printer drivers that are provided by Brother.

The printer drivers can be downloaded from the Brother homepage as RPM, Deb and as PPD file. In order to use the CUPS drivers, one first has to install cups under Ubuntu

sudo apt-get install cups csh

A detailed installation instruction for Brother drivers under Ubuntu can be found at http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Brother/Drucker.
