Review of Linux Compatibility
The Logitech M555b communicates with the PC via Bluetooth instead of the Unifying Receiver, which is typically used by Logitech for wireless mouses.
This Bluetooth connection is not working properly under all Linux Distributionen (especially since Ubtuntu 10.04). A bug related to the Bluetooth package “bluez” is still not fixed.
If the mouse is supported by the bluetooth driver, it is automatically recognized and initialized:
