Review of Linux Compatibility

The Terratec H5 USB Stick supports DVB-T, DVB-C and analog TV reception. The stick is available in at least three different version, each one having different hardware and different USB ID

  • 0ccd:10b6 – Rev.3 – NXP TDA18271

Linux support for the Terratec H5 was added to the kernel at kernel version 3.9.

The Rev.1 and Rev.3 versions of the stick are supported by the kernel module em28xx angesprochen.

Furthermore, a firmware file is needed to operate the H5 stick. This file is available at http://www.linuxtv.org/downloads/firmware/dvb-usb-terratec-h5-drxk.fw and has to be copied to /lib/firmware/.
