Review of Linux Compatibility

The Epson Perfection V370 Photo Scanner (model identification B11B207221) is a USB scanner with the maximal resolution of 4800dpi and the USB ID 04b8:014a. The scanner is fully supported by Linux and can also be used together with SANE.

To access the Epson Perfection V370 under Linux the corresponding iScan Linux scanner drivers have to be downloaded from Epson. These can be found by searching for “V370″ on the Epson Homepage. The files install the scan program iScan and also include the plugin file iscan-plugin-perfection-v370, which enables to use the scanner with SANE, the XSANE GUI and from the command line.

The following packages are needed to access the Epson Perfection V370 under Linux:

iscan
iscan-data
iscan-plugin-perfection-v370

Alternatively, the commercially available Linux drivers of VueScan can be used to access the scanner.
