Review of Linux Compatibility
USB ID 0ccd:10a3
The TerraTec H7 provides DVB-C and CVB-T via USB port. The box has the USB-ID 0ccd:10a3
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0ccd:10a3 TerraTec Electronic GmbH
and is supported by Linux since at least Linux kernel version 3.6.8 (please pay attention that this kernel version normally is not part of the current Linux distributions yet). In addition to the demodulator for DVB-T and DVB-S although the CI-Slot can be used with Linux.
For operation the TerraTec H7 needs the three kernel modules mt2063, drxk, and dvb_usb_az6007, which are included in kernel 3.6.8.
The card also needs firmware files that can be download from
http://linuxtv.org/downloads/firmware/dvb-usb-terratec-h7-az6007.fw if not already included in the used distribution.
The initialisation of the USB box is reported by the kernel in the following way:

A new revision of the TerraTec H7 was seen. This revision has the USB ID 0ccd:10a5 and is currently not supported under Linux.
